  	Mr. John Riedy, an old and respected resident of the town of Casco, and a brother of Micheal Riedy, of this city, died at his home in the former place on Monday morning last, at 11 o'clock, of inflamation of the bowels, at the age of 48 years. Deceased was born in the county of Clare, Ireland, in the year 1837. In the year 1858 ho emigrated to. Casco, this county, and during the same year was married to Bridget Kelliher. The fruit of this happy unlon was seven sons and three daughters, who with his wife survive him, to mourn his loss. He was in sound health until the Friday evening previous to his death, when he was taken with severe pains in the stomach, and on Monday morning as before stated he departed for that "undiscovered country, from whose bourne no traveler returns." The funeral took place on Wednesday from the catholic church at Slovan, and his remains were followed to their final resting place by a large concourse or relatives and friends.
